Summerization
Start The Season With Confidence
After a boat sits in winter storage, a few things need attention before it is ready to run again. Summerization is the reverse of winterization, and it works through your boat top to bottom so it is ready when you are.
What We Check
Our Summerization Checklist
Getting back on the water should feel simple, not stressful. Our checklist works through the boat from top to bottom, so any issues surface in our shop instead of on your first trip out.
- Removal from winter storage and a general inspection of the boat
- Fogging oil replacement and a check of key fluids
- Fresh fuel and a fuel filter check, since stored fuel can degrade over the winter
- Battery reinstallation, followed by a charge and test
- A check of safety equipment, including the fire extinguisher, life jackets, and flares, for anything expired over the off season
- A water test run to confirm everything operates correctly before the season starts
