The outdrive is one of the most overlooked parts of the boat, mostly because it stays out of sight and out of mind until something goes wrong. Bellows, u-joints, and seals wear over time, and by the time a problem becomes noticeable it can already mean water intrusion or a larger repair.

How We Service Every Outdrive

Inspection
We check the outdrive and its seals for wear or damage before any other work begins.

Gear Lube Service
We check the gear lube and replace it as needed to keep the lower unit properly lubricated.

Bellows & U-Joint Check
We inspect the bellows and u-joints, which are common failure points that lead to water intrusion if they are missed.

Pressure Testing
We pressure test the lower unit to catch leaks before they turn into bigger problems.

Reassembly & Test
We reassemble everything and run a test to confirm it is operating correctly before your boat leaves the shop.

Outdrive Service & Repair FAQ
Unusual noise, vibration, difficulty shifting, or milky looking gear lube are all signs worth having checked. If you notice any of these, it is worth having our shop take a look.
